Sandburg News view all news Power Outage Update: 8/12/2020 Thank you for your patience as the D205 Facilities Department continues to work with ComEd to restore power to several school buildings following Monday’s severe weather. The anticipated date for full restoration of power is by 3 p.m. on Aug. 15, 2020. The following campuses are still without electricity: Edison Elementary School Sandburg Middle School Churchville Middle School Residency Update Registration and Residency Information Need to Register for 2020-21? School Offices Open Aug. 5 The Main Office at each school will be open and available to complete registration starting on Wednesday, August 5th, during normal school hours. Update: Remote Learning and Bus Survey (Deadline Extended) Since sending the survey July 17, people have reached out with requests for additional information to help them determine the best decision for their children. Therefore, we are including two additional pieces of information in this communication, which we hope will be helpful and have extended the deadline for responding to July 31 at 5 p.m. All responses will be considered final at that time, and you will receive an email from D205 confirming your submission after the results have been reviewed. I would like to begin by thanking all of our families and employees for their patience and cooperation as we launched E-Learning in District 205 yesterday. This afternoon, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker extended the closure of schools across the state through the end of the month of April. This was not unexpected, and the District has been busy planning to transition from Act of God Days to extended Remote Learning Days. We will elicit feedback and learn from our first several days of implementation and will continue to work to improve our service to you.
